OUR 2027 SUMMER PROGRAM PRESENTS
RIDE THE CYCLONE: TEEN EDITION
FULL PROGRAM DATES: JUNE 28TH - AUGUST 15TH
In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other – the chance to return to life. Through a wondrously funny and touching series of songs, the teen contestants argue that they should be the ones to be saved. Told with moving insights into adolescence as well as dark comedic style benefiting the outrageousness of its premise, Ride The Cyclone is a memorable and original musical. What makes a life well-lived? Who deserves to have a second chance? Which are the memories that we will treasure? All these questions and more are answered in Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell’s stunning work.

REHEARSING & PERFORMING AT THE BOMBSHELL STUDIO THEATRE
HOW IT WORKS
1) Register your student by following the link on our website! Everyone who registers for the program is automatically guaranteed a spot in the cast. Our teen show is first come first served so make sure you sign up before all the slots are filled!
2) Auditions happen on the first day of rehearsals. The director will reach out prior to the first day to provide the audition materials, but there will be some time on the first day to review the audition material with the rest of the cast and the production team.
3) Cast list sent out! We double cast all of our teen shows. The casts will rehearse simultaneously, but will each get their own tech week before their weekend of performances. Each cast gets 6 performances.
4) Rehearsing begins! Your student will learn blocking, music, and choreography. Encourage your student to practice the show at home too- for example memorizing lines or reviewing choreography- the better prepared they are for rehearsal the more confident they will feel during the performances.
5) Tech Week is the final stretch of rehearsals before the performances; where the cast and the production team come together to put the finishing touches on the show, adding lights, sound effects, and costumes.
6) Finally, it’s time for performances! All the time and effort put in pays off in front of an audience of friends and family!
